Here, during the first half of the 19th century, the dream of an English landscape park was realized by Carl Fredrik Waern, an influential estate owner. This tour takes you on a journey through time and nature, where you will experience the rich history surrounding the area.
During the walk, our guide will share fascinating stories about Dalsland’s industrial heritage and the tradition of aquavit production. You will stroll along the peninsula’s waterfront to Världens Ände (‘The World’s End’), where you will taste vintage aquavit made with local ingredients from Kroppefjäll. You will also receive an introduction to how you can flavor your own aquavit.
