A guided walk through the history of Dalsland. We stroll along the impressive flight of locks and across the aqueduct with its 33,000 rivets – a piece of ingenious 1860s engineering that still stands strong today.
Join our guided walk through Håverud, where Dalsland's history converges around the spectacular flight of locks and the famous aqueduct. During this 90-minute tour, you will learn about the industrial works along the Dalsland Canal, the boats that transported iron and paper down to Lake Vänern, a brilliant engineer, and the Halling family who lived in the Manager’s Villa and operated the Håfreström works in the long yellow buildings.

Please note there are stairs along the locks and a very narrow passage across the aqueduct.
