Baldersnäs is a peninsula in Laxsjön that forms a nature reserve in a manor setting located a few kilometers outside Dals Långed. Today, the manor is privately owned and the entire peninsula is a popular excursion destination for both tourists and local residents. In the reserve there is fantastic nature and you can find trees such as Weymouth tall, hornbeam and blood oak.
Baldersnäs Herrgård has a history that stretches all the way back to the 18th century, and it was mainly iron handling and forestry that created the opportunities to build the nature reserve.
The guided tour is about 2 km and we go around the hotel and take a detour into the nature reserve. We will hear about the region, the canal, the history of Baldersnäs and why exactly the end of the world is in the middle of Dalsland.
The tour starts and ends at the manor's main entrance.
The parking lot is about 500 meters away. Dress according to the weather.
